Milan – Summer is winding down and Samsung takes advantage of the awakening attention of users to present them with a flurry of new multimedia models, with which the Korean company hopes to erode support for Nokia and the novelties recently presented by the Finnish giant.
First on the list is the Ultra Edition U600, a GPRS / EDGE terminal presented as a device with a design “inspired by the sober and elegant beauty of the world of jewelry”. This device is equipped with a 2.2-inch QVGA display and 262 thousand colors, 3.2 Megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and 4x digital zoon, alongside the multi-format music player (MP3 / AAC / AAC + / WMA) with WM DRM, support MMS / E-mail / JAVA / WAP 2.0, Bluetooth stereo 2.0, USB 2.0, Google Search, Google Mail, business card scanner.
Its big brother, the U700, supports EDGE, GPRS, HSDPA and UMTS connectivity. It also features stereo Bluetooth technology, built-in speakerphone, video calling, email management, polyphonic ringtones, MP3 player and expandable memory. There is also a 3.2 Megapixel camera, a multimedia player (MP3 / AAC / AAC + / e-AAC + / WMA / WMDRM audio, MPEG4 / H.263 video), 42 MB internal memory, expandable with microSD cards.
Also announced the arrival, on the Italian market, of the F300 mobile phone of the Rock & Call line, which on the one hand is a compact mobile phone with a 1.4-inch secondary 65,000-color TFT LCD screen, 2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth stereo, EDGE / GPRS and Multitasking functions. To follow, Samsung presents the slide-phone D900i, a Quandband GPRS / EDGE that offers 75 MB of integrated memory expandable with microSD, 3 Megapixel camera, 262 thousand color TFT LCD display (with resolution 240 × 320 pixels), FM stereo radio , and a player that supports MP3, AAC, AAC + and e-AAC + audio formats.
Finally, the new Show & Call E840 mobile phone was presented, a Quadband slide-phone featuring a bright and large 262,000-color TFT LCD display with a resolution of 240 × 320 pixels, which allows you to consult emails, phone books, view videos downloaded from the web or made thanks to the integrated video camera, or even simply scroll through photographs. The display can also be used as a mirror, perhaps before a date.
