Zelda Oceanhorn 2’s whimsical adventure sets the stage for PS5

The original Oceanhorn: Monster of the Unexplored Seas It was a really cool isometric adventure game, The Legend of Zelda-esque, that fit the PS Vita perfectly, but its successor seems like a step up in every sense of the word. Available now on Nintendo Switch, developer Cornfox & Bros has announced a partnership with FDG Entertainment that will see Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm heading to PlayStation 5.

The press release explains that you can look forward to a 20-hour journey, filled with “dozens of side quests that offer incredible rewards”: “Oceanhorn 2 is not only one of the best adventure games, it also creates a unique game. Over-the-shoulder experience of classic video games. Collect powerful items, use the roller gun, solve mysterious riddles of the ancients, and discover all that Arcadia and its neighboring kingdoms have to offer.

Watch Dogs 3 could be coming to the next generation on PS5 and Xbox Scarlett

Our colleagues from Nintendo Life I didn’t like the sequel, but it still gave it a strong (if a little boring) 6/10: “Oceanhorn 2 is a decent game, although it doesn’t do enough to stand out from the crowd. The excellent presentation and a clear understanding of the mechanics behind the Zelda franchise make for a game that is satisfying and ultimately worth the price of entry.
