The BlackBerry 8707g comes with THREE
Milan – TRE, like the other mobile operators, can finally offer “its” BlackBerry: the new 8707g, a smartphone that – in the best tradition of RIM products – offers itself as a mobile solution for Internet and messaging.
TRE’s BlackBerry offers support for “push” mail, which allows you to manage various attachment formats (including doc, xls, ppt, jpg, tif, bmp, pdf), SMS and MMS, organizer, Internet browser.
The terminal is a Quadband GSM / GPRS which naturally offers UMTS support. There is also a full QWERTY-type extended keyboard, classically positioned under a 320 × 240 pixel color display. Small peculiarity of the smartphone, a light sensor that allows self-adjustment of the display brightness.
There are two offers prepared by the operator: the first, “BlackBerry with B.mail 900”, provides a tariff plan with a monthly fee of 39 euros and includes the rental of the smartphone (which from 1 January 2008 will involve an additional contribution of 199 euros ) with related technical assistance, 900 minutes per month of voice calls to all (without connection fee), 200 SMS and 100 MMS per month to all, 5 GB per month of internet / email traffic under the TRE network and 5 MB per month of email traffic in GPRS roaming; the second is “BlackBerry with B.mail option”: up to 31/12/2007 with the B.magic (monthly fee of 3 euros) and B.easy (monthly fee of 19 euros) business tariff plans. By subscribing to the BlackBerry B.mail option (which provides for a monthly fee of 14 euros) it will be possible to have the smartphone for rent (however paying 99 euros immediately), 5 GB per month of internet / email traffic under the TRE network and 5 MB per month of email traffic in GPRS roaming.
