Nokia launches a trio of new models
The three new mobile phone models with which Nokia has declared its intention to relaunch its leadeship in the mobile telephony market were presented in Singapore. Although Finnish by birth, the giant played at home: the setting for the presentation was the Nokia Connection 2007 convention.
“We expect our market share to expand beyond the estimated 36% currently,” said Urpo Karjalainen, Nokia’s senior vice president in the Asia-Pacific region, who added: “With these three models, Nokia in this launched 26 new devices this year ”.
The first mobile presented is the Nokia 6267 (here on the side), a HSDPA terminal with a bivalve design on which two displays stand out (internal TFT 240 × 320 pixels with 262 thousand colors, external 128 × 160 pixels always with 262 thousand colors) a camera 2 Megapixel (with flash and 8X digital zoom), polyphonic ringtones, USB + Bluetooth connectivity, multimedia player with external controls and internal memory expandable up to 4 GB.
The second is called 6121 Classic (a variant of 6120) and is a Quadband HSDPA terminal also equipped with an external 2 Megapixel camera and multimedia player. In addition there is a 240 × 320 pixel 16 million color TFT display, SMS / MMS and email support, FM radio, MP3 player, 35 MB internal memory (expandable via MicroSD / TransFlash).
Finally, the Nokia 3500 Classic is a GPRS terminal that sports a 2 Megapixel camera, a 128 × 160 pixel TFT display with 262 thousand colors, Bluetooth + USB connectivity, polyphonic ringtones, SMS / MMS and e-mail support, reader MP3 and FM radio.
