Outlook.com has a new dark mode that is designed to offer an alternative way of reading email for users who prefer a less bright interface or want to reduce eyestrain in a low-light environment.
This new mode currently only works with the default blue theme and you can quickly activate it in your email account settings.
In this guide, you will learn the steps to enable dark mode for the web version of Outlook.
How to enable dark mode for Outlook.com
To activate dark mode in Outlook.com, please follow the steps below:
Opened Outlook.com in your browser.
click on the main menu (gear) in the upper right corner.
Under “Theme”, select the default blue theme.
Turn on the Dark mode Light switch.
After completing the steps, your Outlook account will start using the new darker color mode. If you can’t turn on the key or the option isn’t available, you should consider using Microsoft Edge.
If the message is very difficult to read, you can click the button next to the “Reply” button to disable the dark theme for the email body.
