C300 and Z620, the two new Samsung
Two new mobile phones, different in terms of features and targets, make their entry into the Samsung product portfolio. It is an entry-level model and a much more important one, which offers support for 3G technology.
The first, a GSM / GPRS, is identified by the initials SGH-C300 which, despite being a basic model, comes in the form of a slide-phone: its dimensions are 87x45x18 mm and offers a display from 128 × 160 pixels to 65 thousand colors, polyphonic ringtones, WAP and Java support, SMS / MMS, 2 MB internal memory. It should appear on the market next January 2007.
The second is called SGH-Z620 (pictured), for friends Ultra 11.8: this acronym indicates, as is customary for models belonging to the Ultra Edition range, the thickness dimensions, which make it – according to Samsung – the thinnest HSDPA of the world. At least for now. Length by width, on the other hand, measure 103 × 54 mm, while the weight is almost 100 grams (97 grams). The phone is equipped with a TFT display from 240 × 320 pixels with 262 thousand colors, wireless connectivity (IrDA + Bluetooth).
HSDPA support allows it to have a peak download speed of 1.8 Mbit per second. Entry into the TIM price list is expected in the short term for this device.
